I’m not sure she said that, but that doesn’t matter. Do you honestly think McCain supporters were going to vote for her in the first place?

If she didn’t go out of her way to antagonize them, she would have gotten more of their votes. She only needed a few more.
Any candidate who loses to Katie Hobbs is by definition a lousy candidate. Two other Republicans won statewide races and Republicans won the total House vote and state legislature vote.
