The "scanning again" canard was shot down by Honey when she stated that the seals on the boxes were wrongly broken open , the votes indiscriminately grabbed out of those boxes in uninspected bunches and carried right to the tabulators for processing.

Her last answer--"The votes were invalid!" seem to freeze the defense lawyer. He took a long pause, folded up his brief, snapped out "No more questions!" and fled from the disaster.
