“His work on the Manson case and the Palmyra Island murders were excellent.”

On the Manson case it took him 9 months to get a murder conviction. If he would have brought it in within 2 months, I’d give it a passing C- or D+ grade. “Excellent” would have been a week or two (at most).

Sorry. It is no easy task to convince a jury that a man was guilty of murders when he was never at either of the crime scenes.

And he had one suspect who flat out confessed and a couple other accomplices who turned state’s evidence.

The only hard part of that prosecution was that the witnesses who could implicate Charlie were all dirty drugged out and brainwashed hippies. Probably took a few months just to clean them up to make some of them presentable as witnesses.
