Think about it...
Why don’t people get chicken pox, measles, mumps, etc more than once? Ok, a rare few do, but it’s called t cell immunity.
Friday the 13th I walked in to my Supermarket and All checkout lines were 5 Deep with Carts stacked to overflowing. I think I went to KFC 🍗 for a bucket 🪣!

I had been to the local Wegmans a couple days before and when President Trump announced the lockdown, I thought I’d go for just a few more things.
What a madhouse. Chicken was nuked. Likewise, pasta, sauce, milk, eggs, baking supplies, you name it as far as the staples.
There was one turkey left and one turkey breast. I took the turkey, kind of chuckling that people are so programmed to think of turkey for Thanksgiving that they left some really good meat.
But……
In the Auburn NY area, there were other options. I ran over to New Hope Mills, a few minutes away and they were stocked full of flour, yeast, oatmeal, and all their usual grains. So I picked some up.
Then I drove over to Seneca Falls where there’s a Mennonite store and they were decidedly not busy and had LOTS of chicken and other meats. I stocked up there as well.
People just don’t think outside the box very well. Meanwhile, we were set for several weeks.
I even made a mental note of that day, saying that here it comes--cancelations and closures like we were seeing already in Italy and of course, China. The News and Sports Press were making a very big deal out of these cancelations that night.
Jazz-Thunder postponed, NBA suspends season
OKLAHOMA CITY — Utah’s scheduled game at Oklahoma City was postponed Wednesday night (March 11 2020) and the NBA suspended its season a few minutes later after a Jazz player tested positive for the coronavirus.
The player is star center Rudy Gobert, according to a person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because neither the league nor the team had confirmed it publicly.
The positive test result was reported shortly before the scheduled tip-off between the Jazz and Thunder. The league said the affected player was not in the arena.

NCAA cancels March Madness tournaments, all other winter and spring championships
The NCAA on Thursday (March 12, 2020) canceled its men's and women's college basketball tournaments, known as March Madness, in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
The cancellation extends to all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships.
The move comes after most of the NCAA's conferences had suspended their postseason tournaments*, including its "power conferences," the Pac-12, the Big 10, the ACC, the Big 12 and the SEC.
* Most of these were done on March 11th. I taught at Auburn University and the AU Tigers basketball team was ranked #7 nationally and we were really gearing up for a great tournament. Big disappointment that Wednesday.
