Your excellent questions above apply to a couple of close family members. They have had every vaccine available and since then, have had all of the Covid Versions in N. California.

In fact, they passed their latest version to my wife and I on Thanksgiving Day. They were not aware that the newest form of Covid was having a great time in their bodies.

(No vaccines/boosters for my wife and I since the first two.)

Post Thanksgiving, We had severe upper respiratory symptoms with dry coughing and feeling like several Amazon Delivery Vans had run over us. We never had any fever.

I tested positive with the so called free PCR tests, then my wife tested positive.

So, we went to a local testing agency, and both of us tested + with their higrade, non PCR tests.

6 days after Thanksgiving, I tested negative with the home PCR test, and my wife was still positive.

We both had/have aches in our shoulders, and heating pads during the daytime handled that pain. A simple/small Salon patch works at night in bed for us.

My wife and her heated shoulder pad are doing great this am.

I have had worse colds than this version of Covid.
