Oh please.
Trump is trying to take credit for the safe bet races of people like Rubio, Grassley, and Rand Paul when he talks about his "93% winning endorsements!" but the real test is how did Trump's picks do in the swing states he lost in 2020 but will need to win in 2024 if he wants to have a shot?
Let's take a look at Trump's "hand-picked" endorsements (not the people running in safe seats who would've won no matter what):
Governors:
Lombardo: W
Lake: L
Mastriano: L
Michels: L
Dixon: L
Perdue: L
Senate:
Johnson: W
Walker: L
Masters: L
Oz: L
Laxalt: L
Bolduc: L
Secretaries of State:
Finchem: L
Karamo: L
Marchant: L
Hice: L
These are the critical swing states Trump needs to win and the voters in these swing states were not buying what Trump was selling.
These voters absolutely rejected Donald Trump and if people can't see that, I can't help.
I'll repeat it for clarity: Swing state voters absolutely rejected Donald Trump.
And these are going to be the same voters in '24.
Who is to blame for midterm results? His name is Donald and he lives in Florida.
Thank you. This will send the Trump fart sniffer into a rage, and, of course, they will call you a troll, and a never Trumper, and whatever else they can come up with, because they just can’t handle the truth.
What is the truth? Donald Trump has turned into a toxic loser with a rapidly diminishing support group
According to Real Clear politics, the final average (October 28 - November 2 2020) in the 2020 elections for Florida were Biden +0.9 points over Trump. Florida isn’t a “safe seat” for Republicans.
Also for Ohio, Trump was ahead of Biden by only 1 point in the final RCP average (October 28 - November 1, 2020). Just like Florida, Ohio isn’t a “safe seat” for Republicans.
Still Republican primary voters have to think long and hard if they really want Trump as their nominee. It’s better to have DeSantis.

Democrats defeated every GOP Senate and gubernatorial candidate endorsed by Donald Trump this year in the five states that flipped from supporting him in 2016 to backing Joe Biden in 2020: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Arizona.
Great post describing the effects of a 3-peat loser.
