I wonder if this is a quid pro quo for enforcing the new oil restrictions on oil tankers through the Bosphorus, or for admitting Sweden and Finland into NATO, Syria, or something else?
Of course it is...that's how the system works.
I bet that Turkey asked for their F-35s back. The pentagon countered with F-16Vs and kits to upgrade 80 of Turkey's F-16s to the "V" configuration.
F-16V will dominate the entire area, except for Israeli F-35s.
