Cool, thank you.
A great playwright.
:)
Glengarry Glen Ross was an excellent film but - for me - it was depressing as hell to watch. The desperation of those cold call salesmen was painful.
It’s a psychological thriller so don’t expect “The French Connection” type action.
And you’ll never get the song “When the Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin” out of your head, ever again
You’ve been warned.
I agree. I don’t watch it often, but it’s fantastic.
Totally different type of flick, but The Joker with Juaquin Phoenix was outstanding but absolutely miserable/sad.
Yeah. My copy was easy to find, so I’ll probably watch it tonight.
Thanks, that’s another one that’ll ring in my head tonight til I blackout 🤪🤪
You’re welcome.
My recommendation...drink heavily.
Beats the snot outta what’s on tv, nowadays.
Already do that.
Any other age old wisdom?😜
This is a David Mamet famous quote...”In order to continue advancing their illogical arguments, modern liberals have to pretend not to know things...”
What a lot of people do not consciously realize, a great playwright or screenwriter is a careful observer of human beings and the truly gifted ones create characters based on dead-on accurate examples from good and bad behaviors in real people.
Mamet is one of the greatest. I personally LOVE the movie “The Edge” which he wrote.
If a chick says “It’s okay, I’m on the pill” don’t listen.
I may sit through the commentary, afterwards.
Didn’t even realize American Buffalo was written by him as a play, Dennis Franz is great in the movie.
FReegards
Remember, they are obeying demonic forces who probably enjoy nothing more than reducing humans to utter humiliation, to a mockery of all we were made to be. Homosexuality, transgenderism ... even loons running around acting like animals ... and who knows what depravity is soon to appear (Lawrence v Texas wasn’t even 20 years ago!).
While we may give Orwell kudos for predicting tyranny and oppression it was Huxley who more accurately predicted the moral nature of it all.
