Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

RuZZia is a nation in decline. The West needs to manage that decline.

“NATO commits to future Ukraine membership, drums up aid”

“NATO allies reaffirmed their commitment to Ukraine on Tuesday saying that the war-torn nation will one day become a member of the world’s largest security alliance, and promising more help — from winter aid to artillery — to help Ukraine’s beleaguered armed forces to fight off Russia.

The pledges of support in Romania’s capital, Bucharest, cam
e as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with NATO foreign ministers Tuesday to drum up urgently needed support aimed at ensuring that Moscow fails to defeat Ukraine as it bombards vital energy infrastructure.

“NATO’s door is open,” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said before chairing the meeting.

“Russia does not have a veto” on countries joining, he said in reference to the recent entry of North Macedonia and Montenegro into the security alliance. He said that Russian President Vladimir Putin “will get Finland and Sweden as NATO members” soon. The Nordic neighbors applied for membership in April, concerned that Russia might target them next.”

“Qatar signed a small-scale agreement to supply Germany with natural gas, its first long-term deal with Europe, as Berlin races to cover future needs after the end of its energy relationship with Russia.

Qatar, one of the world’s largest exporters of the fuel, has agreed to send Germany two million tons of liquefied natural gas a year for at least 15 years, starting from 2026, in a deal with U.S. energy major ConocoPhillips. The volume would cover around 3% of Germany’s 2021 annual gas consumption.”

Putin was educated with Soviet propaganda about the mighty Soviet military that beat the Germans. He never learned, or doesn't want to believe, that before the West send arms, supplies, and a British RAF squadron to fight in the East, the Soviets never won a battle against the Germans.

That is why they kept the "old stuff". To be used in time of need.

However, they generally expected it to be used in case of invasion of the USSR, not to invade a mid-level power like Ukraine.

Ukrainians staying power, commitment, and moral have surprised everyone. Plus, the conflict has become a near peer conflict instead of a pushover.

I think Elon Musk had the closest to the correct approach: Withdraw to the boundaries existing in 2021: Make those permanent, and guarantee Ukrainian status as a buffer state. Of course those guarantees were essentially made before, so they have to be backed up by force of some sort.

China is laughing at the whole affair, as her perceived enemies fight each other.

And the old stuff is getting destroyed too. The more that gets destroyed, the less able the Russian government will be able to suppress domestic dissent or revolution.

Little Pukin made 2 major mistakes.

He over-estimated RuZZia’s military.

He under-estimated Ukraine’s military.

Little Pukin made 2 major mistakes. He over-estimated RuZZia’s military. He under-estimated Ukraine’s military.

He also underestimated the West's collective will to arm and fund Ukraine to weaken Russian influence in the region. Russian influence in the region is at its weakest since the end of the 1920-21 Russo-Polish War.

It seems to me now we’d need a buffer state between Russia and Ukraine to keep the Russians from getting tempted to cross the border again. They’re not the type of people to take a loss and move on.

“Russia’s elite begins to ponder a Putinless future”

“What is next? Is there life after Putin? How does he go and who replaces him?” Such are the questions that weigh heavily these days on the minds of the Russian elite, its bureaucrats and businessmen, as they observe the Ukrainian army advancing, talented people fleeing Russia and the West refusing to back down in the face of Vladimir Putin’s energy and nuclear blackmail. “There is a lot of swearing and angry talk in Moscow restaurants and kitchens,” one member of the elite says. “Everyone has realised that Putin has blundered and is losing.””
