The problem with almost all the sports federations, including U.S. Soccer, is that the leadership structure has been corrupted. A counterrevolution is needed. Kick the commissars out. Everything does not have to be politicized. But how can that be done? The left pushes for politicization 24/7/365, using every platform to exert cross pressure. Someone needs to stand up and lead. Be willing to ruthlessly fire the leftists. Or walk away and set up an entirely new structure.

The US hockey team could not use any professional players in the Olympics back then. They defeated, not just the Russians, but the Soviet Union, which included many additional now independent countries. The Soviets got around the no-professionals -in -the -0lympics rule by having top athletes like the hockey players be members of the military, where their
main job was training for their sport.
