When I was 15 yo my Dad decided to do Daddy-daughter day.

He took me to downtown Chicago where we went to the newly opened Sears tower and a Rockwell exhibition.

Great day and a fabulous exhibition!!

Today, that working man speaking at a public meeting would be castigated as a white Christian nationalist right wing extremist. NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN would be horrified, and the Centers for Disease Control and the American Psychiatric Association would consider him mentally ill and needing strong psychotropic medications if not involuntary confinement in the local mental hospital.
