Ken Griffin, who is pushing for a Desantis presidential bid, has a history of fundraising for Biden and Obama.

Florida Governor Ron Desantis’ top donor has made some controversial comments concerning his relationship with China.

Ken Griffin, the billionaire CEO of Citadel, who funded $5 million towards Ron Desantis’ gubernatorial campaign and is vying for a Desantis 2024 presidential run, admitted his hedge fund is prioritizing China as its “center of focus.”

Griffin, who has countersignaled a Trump 2024 run, wants to “increase the size of our commitment” in China and supported CCP leader Xi Jinping for his economic leadership, saying it helped “re-accelerated China’s growth.”

Griffin described Trump as a “three-time loser” and hopes the 45th president of the United States will “see the writing on the wall” and give up his 2024 bid.

“I’d like to think that the Republican party is ready to move on from somebody who has been for this party a three-time loser,” Griffin stated, citing Trump’s 2020 loss and blaming Trump for the GOP leadership losing two Georgia Senate seats.

Despite the lack of a “red wave” in the Midterms, Griffin described the midterm results as “a great moment — American voters came out in droves. This was a triumph of democracy.”

“I’m quite happy about the midterms,” the billionaire added.

Concur 100%. It is both a strange and dangerous thing.

What's also a problem is how otherwise rational people flip their collective lids when these people make donations to the political campaigns of staunch conservative politicians, despite their being no evidence whatsoever of it having any influence on their pro-American actions.

Griffin's motives seem to wander all over the political map (for example, he has strongly spoken in the past against 'woke' culture), but his stance towards China does make him untrustworthy. DeSantis has not said a word about this one way or the other (which itself appears to a capital crime in the eyes of some), but DeSantis' actions speak louder than words anyway (see HERE and HERE). But never mind that! Some 'journalist' on some clickbait website has HARD EVIDENCE that DeSantis is a DEEP STATE STOOGE! It must be true!

Honestly, this unthinking, knee-jerk behavior does the conservative movement no favors, and closely mirrors the same mindless rantings seen so much on the political left which we so often deride. And this predilection we seeing a lot of lately, of putting words into DeSantis' mouth and then arguing that his not following their unwritten script is proof of DARK MONEY INFLUENCE!, is equally silly and unproductive.

All this tribal infighting is doing nothing but playing right into the Marxist's hands. Stop it. For God's sake, stop it now. Or just plan on pulling the lever for Biden in 2024 and get it over with.
