You ok bro?
No.
Just like the rest of us.
Thank you. THAT is who she reminds me of.
LOL, good to hear. You take care, FRiend...:)
LOL…
Ah sorry, I’m broken beyond repair so the pressure is on Laz.
Like in 2020, I unplugged for a while and took a little break from it all. But this time, only for a week. Enough time to get my Christmas lights up and make a little headway on my reading.
This is not as catastrophic as 2020. At least we got the House (barely) and retired Pelosi. Some of the good guys won and I still expect Kari Lake in AZ to put up the good fight and perhaps force a do-over. She almost certainly won the election fair and square but those dropboxes, mail-in ballots, etc, provide so much opportunity for blatant fraud that never gets exposed because the complicit media are 100% behind them.
However, I'm not as mad with the Democrats as I am with the establishment Republicans. They mostly sat on their butts this campaign season and left Trump out there campaigning all by himself so that they could stick him with the disappointing results. They are trying to destroy the MAGA movement, just like they did the Tea Party movement. They want to keep the status quo, even if it means minority status, as they get a seat at the table regardless.
I don't even bother with the Trump vs DeSantis crap. I like both of them. Whichever one gets the nomination, I will support. I'm not going to bash one over the other however.
We need to get serious about election reform. Too many ways for the Dems to rig it. Early voting, mail-in voting and dropboxes are an absolute joke and an invitation to commit fraud. We need to get back to same day voting and same-night counting. Florida, despite being the 3rd most populous state, had their votes counted by midnight and there was no controversy there with the results.
Whatever the outcome in 2024 regading Trump, I feel his greatest legacy will be the MAGA movement. Folks like Kari Lake are not going away and they are our future. Trump made candidates like this possible. MAGA conservatives are building out their own media networks which will soon compete effectively with what is considered mainstream today. Even Twitter is coming around under new ownership and looks to be becoming somewhat of a level playing field for conservatives. That would be encouraging. They do need to activate Trump's account however. I don't care if Trump posts there or not but they need to make his account active just on principle, before I will consider going back there.
Actually - no.
You see, like most of us, I have unfortunately become addicted to this site, and each morning I come here, and see some of the (nicest way of saying this) raw sewage and negative [queue the poop icon] that’s posted on this site regarding the latest version of the devolution of America.
Like myself, Laz is among the seniors on the site when it wasn’t a 24 hour female-dog fest. We saw problems, we put our heads together to solve them, not sit around crying in our beer over “...how it’s only going to get worse, and there’s nothing we can do about it..”
It’s sickening really; like nails against a blackboard to me.
So, I thought I’d just start on a positive note, which Mr. Mataz is know for, when is not slam-dunking his short, but terse words of wisdom on us like a cool glass of water in a desert.
As Doc Holiday said in the Movie ‘Tombstone’:
“Laz is mah friend.”
That is all.
I appreciate and agree... I just got down in the dumps after the Red Ripple.
I definitely appreciate that you appreciate me.... and I very much love that you are trying to bouy me up. I needed that.
And I am honored and humbled that you’d dedicate a whole thread to me, about this.
I knew a guy years ago who said all he required in a woman was two legs, two tits, and a heartbeat.
I think I know him. :)
Remarkable.
