These guys up and down the line, after they have had success they suddenly forget how they acquired that success and who helped them get that success. Talk about hubris and ungratefulness.

And how is DeSantis being disloyal to Trump? He hasn’t said anything negative about Trump.

Oh for God’s sake! DeSantis hasn’t said crap about Trump! He answered a simple question on if he’s going to run for president and he said he’s concentrating on the governors race which was active at the time. Trump is being ridiculous. DeSantis completely changed Florida for the better. Trump is 76 years old. Why the heck is he acting like a two-year-old?

This isn't like the Godfather, where if he does you a favor he may ask you to do one down the line and you owe him. I think the farthest that kind of loyalty goes is to not attack the other person. It shouldn't and doesn't include an implied promise not to run for office. A politician's primary loyalty should always be to the country before loyalty to any one person.

My personal opinion is that DeSantis would not run against Trump if he thought Trump would be a strong candidate in 2024 and likely to win. But if DeSantis concludes that Trump would be a weak candidate in 2024 and lose the 2024 general election, I think that is enough for him to run to challenge Trump for the nomination.
