In a Dec. 5 call, the president for the first time mentioned challenging the election results in Congress. By mid-December, the internet was filled with speculation about my role. An irresponsible TV ad by a group calling itself the Lincoln Project suggested that when I presided over the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress to count the electoral votes, it would prove that I knew “it’s over,” and that by doing my constitutional duty, I would be “putting the final nail in the coffin” of the president’s re-election. To my knowledge, it was the first time anyone implied I might be able to change the outcome.

Is that accurate? Was Lincoln Project running ads after the election to put Pence in the hot seat and annoy Trump?

When? By my memory, they were supposed to be heard on the 6th, then Congress adjourned, and when they came back they immediately certified the results”

This is why I ask about the Jan 6 breach of the Capitol ...WHO BENEFITS? Republicans had pairs of congressmen ready to present evidence about the elections in five or six states. If they had been able to do this, so many “election irregularities“ would have been heard by Americans watching on C-SPAN as well as written into the congressional record.

Instead there was a break-in at the Capitol causing the representatives to relocate to secure locations. When they returned that evening, they proceeded directly to the vote without the presentations made.

In essence, what we're having to deal with today with Biden, the disastrous economy, billions of wasteful money to Ukraine, wider open borders, and now, more stolen elections...... it's all because of Pence stalling the certification process to look for irregularities that Trump asked him to do.

Your book is, as usual, total fiction. The Vice President has absolutely no power, role, or authority to do that. None. Try reading the US Constitution and the laws governing the process. Learn something and apply reality, facts, and truth - for a change - instead of just ridiculous propaganda and rhetoric.
