To win political power and do what must be done to save the country, Republicans will have to go on offense, present a compelling vision for the future, and engage culture war issues like abortion and critical race theory without apologies.

Democrats were able to pretend that Republicans were doing just that and that strategy worked for the Democrats.

Is it possible that actually campaigning on those issues would mean victories for Republicans in the states where they lost? Where is the logic in that?

It's not Eisenhower's or Nixon's or Reagan's America anymore.

Obviously issues must not matter in winning anymore. Democrats quit campaigning on issues. Why bother?

Ballot stuffing and harvesting has made a joke out of good people who campaign on issues in America.
