Your analogy is flawed. In Bible times the people didn't vote, their rulers were Kings and conquerors. We vote, we choose, it's on us. This is post-Christian America and no one should be surprised at the results.

Christians quote 2 Chronicles 7:14, but rarely include the 13th verse. "Then" is a big word and forecasts what is about to happen to those who turn from God. Hopefully, believers will finally obey God's Command.

13 At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you.

14 Then if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

If America fails, it will be because of Christians.

Somebody chooses for us.

God chooses the rulers over us, no matter the reason. I don’t believe that He makes mistakes, but oftentimes, we do not have the prism of the future that He does, so what seems to be a mistake is not. We do not have the divine view. I suspect that you won’t agree, but all we can do is what we feel God is leading us to do, and he is responsible for the rest. by all means, we are free to choose, and we will be held accountable for our choices, but that is free will. It doesn’t always come out the way we want, but ultimately, it will. In my honest opinion.
