? The ad was a remake on Paul Harvey’s So God made a farmer. It was no more mocking God than Rush saying talent on loan from God. It was a tip to Paul Harvey’s talent and really nothing to do with demeaning God. If anything, it casually acknowledges God as the creator of all things. I apologize in advance if you was being sarcastic, but that ad is not sacrilegious.

The ad left me wondering just who Desantis was intending on fighting. Given his propensity to be glad-handing GOPe monied interests...

The GOPe hates God, and any who follow His instructions. Sooo might be a bit soon to discern what Desantis’ motivations truly are.. but Desantis DID present himself as a fighter from God.

The difference is this, Paul Harvey was talking and praising someone else.

This was a DeSantis ad about himself. There is big difference between being praised by the someone else, and touting your own horns. When you praise yourself and invoke God, it comes off really bad.

Sure Rush did it, but Rush was not running for office, he’s an entertainer.

Anyway, the whole thing is a distraction, DeSantis’ ad was not well thought out, and Trump probably should have stayed away from the topic instead of brining more attention to it.

Republicans needs to be unified this close before the election, not attack each other.
