Trump issues ‘Coronavirus Guidelines’ for next 15 days to slow pandemic
15 days to flatten the curve...and here we are, two and a half years later, with the country town completely apart. It will take decades, if ever, for all the social, economic, and political damage to be repaired.
Here on good old Frede Republic there ar at least 10 - 15 threads a day attacking Trump. Let’s change the name to Cheney Republic ok?
Anytime some jackass on the Internet or on free republic says I would vote for Donald Trump over any Democrat tells you all you need to know about the person they are anti-Maga
And this site has way too many of them
And they also tend to congregate under the banner of the flag of a foreign country by the way I wonder who
I liked DeSantis. But I’m afraid he is falling in with the wrong crowd these days. Regardless of that fact, I feel that he would not be a good candidate for President. Very simply he lacks the requisite charisma necessary to win. If he is really America First, and that is now in question, he will be going up against the entire power structure of The U.S. A boring and pedestrian guy like him will get eaten alive. We need a pr genius and we have a pr genius.
I’m getting so tired of this Trump vs. DeSantis fake match up.
Let the Democrats squabble about who they will nominate to run against Trump in 2024.
We don’t need to worry about such questions until 2028, and that is a long way off.
Trump will be too old. If De Santis stays out of a pissing contest with Trump, DeSantis will win in 2024.
GMAFB.
In all likelihood this is all coordinated. Very shrewd.
3D Chess, and they both know it & mad as hell about it.
Before I even think about DeSantis I want to know where he stands on these endless neocon wars. Until he addresses that issue he is irrelevant to me.
If Trump had half the class and charisma of Ronald Reagan, he would have won a 1984 Reagan like landslide in 2020 that would have been so far beyond the margin of cheat that Dems would have been helpless.
I’ll vote for Trump in 2024 if he is the Republican candidate (just like I did in 2016 & 2020), but I’d rather see DeSantis as the nominee. Trump has just about worn me out.
This posted by Timber, one of the biggest neocon cheerleaders for the proxy war in Ukraine and Never Trumper going back to 2016.
I’ll wait until the dust settles before I start frothing at the mouth over the potential 2024 primary runners.
Trump is said “to be Trump, and he will never change.”
Therefore, he will
- choose poorly, for Attorney General
- choose poorly, for FBI Director
- choose poorly, for his Chief of Staff
- choose poorly, for offices of the Dept. of Defense
and in general, fail again to establish a Trump Administration in depth.
On the other hand, he could correct and self-discipline himself, and endeavor to address his errors.
He will have improved chances for success, by “just barging in” to many departments and places of the government, as he has had that reputation among his businesses.
Show up in person, in the trenches.
"If Trump went into full attack mode it wouldn’t dent DeSantis’ reputation one little bit."
And that's why everyone repeated DeSanctimonious, riiiiight? What an idiot, talk about 'own goal' -- why would Strom Bourbon even squeeze out this article if the attack had no effect?
"So Trump’s attack is electorally irrelevant (which in itself is an unforced error, as it shows Trump to be weaker than he wants to look against a political rival)."
Riiiggght, because DeSantis was so much in demand literally interviewing 3 - 4 candidates for each seat as Trump did.
"Trump’s attack was a mistake because he opened up an old wound that could be Trump’s Achilles’ Heel: his huge mistakes dealing with COVID. Mistakes that DeSantis saw early and rejected quickly."
Bogus. People don't remember the lockdowns (unfortunately), the only lookback people care about are the deaths per state, and Florida is right there at the top.
"Adjusting for population, there have been a total of 248 COVID-19-related deaths for every 100,000 Americans nationwide. In Florida, deaths attributable to the coronavirus per capita are even more common than they are nationwide. Across the state, 62,390 people have died from the coronavirus, equal to about 293 deaths for every 100,000 people. Of all states -- and Washington D.C. -- Florida has the 11th highest death rate per capita."
Seems like a few people can take a joke. Actually, it was quite a clever remark and I don’t consider it an ATTACK. When I was in the Navy, few people were called by their real name... it was always by some nickname. Sometimes not too flattering of a nickname at that.
The biggest reason it was a mistake is that Trump may need a pardon from President Desantis in 2025. I hope not, but it could come to that.
Nobody is really going to challenge Trump if he runs
No matter the chatter from neos
We need to turn this Country around fast and Trump is the guy who can do it in 24, DeSantis gets his chance in 28 that why we can have 12 years of conservatism opposite 8.
You got a great name you snake in the grass pain in the ass.
Go back to yer GOB(shite) Griefing Room, Tedlim.
Excuse me? I don't recall any such thing. His last day in office was in January 2021 and he'd already done what he could to speed up (Read not Pfizer et al hiding vaccine test trial results for 75 years), he put money and government assistance in where the deep state told him. The Washington University IHME (significantly funded by Bill Gates) was predicting over a million DEATHS alone in the coming year. Add to that the globalist WHO, CDC and alarmists. Leftist Governors and mayors were clamoring for respirators and hospital beds. There was a several million dollar tent hospital set up in NYC that went UNUSED. He used the defense acquisition priority process to get manufacturers to supply respirators, he sent the hospital ship to NY (which remained largely UNUSED), and a lot of those respirators were later sold off or junked. As far as what he said, he went too far. There's no need for division between the two. But don't trying blame it on his actions for Covid.
