Jail is where people serve sentences of less than 1 year, the essential distinction between misdemeanors and felonies is the less than one year/more than one-year sentencing dichotomy. Federal courts have limited jail facilities for this kind of situation. A prison is where you go to serve a felony sentence of more than one year, whether it is in the Federal Corrections system or a State Prison. Either type of facility offers abundant opportunities for homosexual rape. The food is typically terrible, and the portions so small!
