Big Brother’s Playbook - DHS efforts to curb "dangerous" speech

The federal government’s guidelines to counter “misinformation” and “disinformation” – what we might more accurately describe as Big Brother’s Playbook – has been released. The US government and its allies, including media gatekeepers and educational institutions and global corporations, have become the judges and juries of “misinformation.”

And Big Tech is their executioner.

According to recently-filed court documents in Missouri v. Biden that were made available by The Intercept (big hat tip to Lee Fang and Ken Klippenstein), “The Department of Homeland Security is quietly broadening its efforts to curb speech it considers dangerous.”

We’ve highlighted the key points of these court documents with screenshots below. Read it all - it’s especially relevant to the 2022 and 2024 elections.

DHS is “directly engaging with social media companies to flag MDM” (MDM is defined as mis-information, dis-information, and mal-information). It is doing so “Ahead of midterm elections in 2022” and is readying its efforts with eyes focused on 2024:

That’s what happens when you put a Cuban Communist in charge of DHS.

First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Liberals need to understand a corrupt future 'rightwing' group could use that hellhole bureaucratic DHS AGAINST them too. Hopefully we'll be able to deep six that horror after we win the Presidency in '24. For everyone's sake...

“Government is not reason, it is not eloquence-it is force! Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.”

True. Merrick Garland is a well educated get along guy. Just like the Ministry of Justice officers who smoothly transitioned from the Weimar Republic to the NS State to the Occupation Authority to the Federal Republic. They served all equally well and were rewarded with steady promotions. Only the floridly political types paid any penalty after 1945 and most of them didn’t pay much other than being out of a government job for several years. My loyalty is my honor is the code of all bureaucrats. If your job is enforcing and operating according to the rule book it can be no other.

Well, if there's one thing we learned from the Nuremberg Trials it was following orders of 'Superiors' is an acceptable bureaucratic excuse for evil... /s

Exactly. In general one regime following another wants to be able to keep the papers being shuffled. The exception are commies who don’t care how much chaos ensues (actually they want chaos) as long as only party loyalists get to control the instruments of administration and oppression.
