They sold after and we had lost our internet com for a while until about early 2000 or so. I guess there was some kind of legal hassle that caused the suspension.

There was a legal kerfluffle some years ago, the details of which I do not recall.
Had to do with a really bad/wrong ruling by a LIEberal court in Kali-Fornia which cost Jim a lot of money and, in effect, curtailed FRee Republics’s influence and growth.
IMHO, it was a precursor to the sort of Facebook, Twitter, et al banning conservative FRee speech crap we are learning about now.
LIEberals are intent on stifling and shutting down FRee and open discussion of the issues!
FRee Republic is a place where we used to be able to post articles FRom every source, but the LIEberal court stopped that, so now there are certain information sources that cannot be quoted on FR.
