The biggest part of this story is that Lightfoot has a security detail. She denies police protection to the law-abiding of that city while she has 24-hour protection. And, it is not just a couple of officers either. She has practically an entire precinct surrounding her wherever she goes. (I’m exaggerating on that last bit, but not by much).
