You have the right to remain silent to avoid self incrimination. This is more about freedom of the press and whistleblowing.

Merrick Garland is a shit lawyer with no respect for actual law.

In a criminal case, yes. This is not a criminal case. It’s a civil defamation suit, filed by the software company (Konnech).

(Which also means that the DOJ is not a party to the suit.)
