Russia unleashed the third mass cruise missile attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, during this Monday morning rush hour (7-9 AM in Kyiv), a developing pattern to the strikes.

50 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were reportedly launched mostly from Tu-95/Tu-160 strategic bombers operating from the north of the Caspian Sea and Rostov region.

44 were reported to have been interdicted by Air Defense. Additional waves of drone attacks produced a total of 18 strikes across ten regions of the Ukraine, mostly targeting civilian electrical and water supply. About 80% of Kiev residents have had their water supply disrupted. Also struck were energy infrastructure in Chernivtsi, Kirovohrad oblasts, and Zaporizhzhia City. Hundreds of settlements in seven regions of Ukraine were cut off from electricity One interdicted cruise missile landed in a village in Moldova.

Targeting such civilian infrastructure is a war crime under the Geneva and Hague Conventions, to which Russia is a signatory.
