It would be all over the news, 24x7, with every seemingly salacious detail, and the news crews would have picked it up and had trucks there immediately even filming the assault in progress. Leaked medical reports would be in the hands of reporters who would report injuries are being exaggerated to keep MTG’s husband away from the press, etc.
Yes, things would be quite different if the shoe was on the other foot.
In this story about Paul Pelosi, I fully expect the story (except for the crazed “MAGA Terrorist” attacking democracy” part) to die. We may never hear of the attacker again, or he may hang himself, and Paul Pelosi will be “unable to talk or be interviewed” for weeks or months due to his severe injuries, and they won’t have teams of reporters outside the hospital when he leaves.
