One of the funniest things I saw in WWN was back in 1979, on the front cover about the body of the Captain of the Titanic found in a lifeboat still floating around in the Arctic Ocean with a cigar still smoldering in his mouth. No doubt they got the idea from the NY Daily News. A few months earlier, "reputed" mobster Carmine Galante was shot in broad daylight at an outdoor cafe in Brooklyn.
