I speak a little, but have family and friends there. The younger generation is mandated to choose either English or German in school and they must pass a proficiency test to graduate high school. It is an excellent system.
My father escaped Hungary in 1956. I own a home near Lake Balaton and visit often. I enjoy it there.
I just spent 3 weeks north of there at Mosonmagyaróvár.

My parents also escaped in 1956. Most of our relatives are still in Hungary and we visit every few years.
