Trump is a brilliant, mind-numbing political genius.
What better way to let DeSantis be his own man than to let DeSantis endorse O'Dea?
CO is a purple state and Bennet is a strong incumbent. O'Dea will now get some swing and moderate votes who never liked Trump.
There is no "feud" between Trump and DeSantis. DeSantis is not going to run unless Trump dies or declines to run himself and fully endorses DeSantis.
Sundance's analysis is wrong here, we need as many Senate seats as we can muster.

I don’t get worked up about candidate endorsements. Sometimes there are behind the scenes reasons for them.
I don’t hold it against Sarah Palin for endorsing John McCain in his later Senate races.
I don’t hold it against President Trump that he endorsed Mitt Romney, Martha McSally, or Dr. Oz.
