Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available

Is NATO foolish enough to try to massively reinforce Ukrainian troops if Russia stages a major break out? Here is the reality–the 101st alone is not a sufficient force and NATO would require MONTHS–let me reiterate that point–MONTHS to round up and deploy the thousands of troops that would be required to pose a credible threat to a Russian advance. Do you think Russia will sit idly doing nothing while NATO scrambles to assemble a force to invade Ukraine and challenge Russia? Ain’t going to happen.

I agree with Andrei’s observation that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s first call to Russia’s Shoigu since May was probably to reassure the Russians that the reports coming out about the 101st Airborne Division element in Romania was hype and that the United States had no intention of deploying that unit to Ukraine. The CBS report target audience is the American public. Keep feeding them bullshit in a desperate attempt to convince them that America should be fighting in Ukraine. I do not think most Americans have the stomach for another feckless foreign military misadventure.

pdate on Russian operations against Ukraine for October 23, 2022

- Russian missile and drone strikes continue targeting and crippling Ukraine's power grid,
- Ukraine is attempting to target a major dam at Nova Kakhkovka to flood the Dnieper River and disrupt Russian supply lines to Kherson city;
- Western analysts admit Ukraine is in a critical situation and risks being completely cut off from its Western sponsors;
- The US is putting pieces in place to set up a buffer zone in Ukraine to prevent Russian forces from taking western Ukraine and perhaps even Odesa to prevent what's left of Ukraine from becoming landlocked.

7 million in 6 months, so 8+ million now.

“In the six months since the Feb. 24 invasion, Moscow’s military has expended, per best estimates, no less than seven million shells. Add to this consumption the number of artillery rounds lost due to Ukrainian strikes on Russian ammunition stockpiles located close to the front lines. If the conflict continues at the pace seen thus far, Russia’s military will find itself running short of shells by the end of the year and will have to conserve their use.”

-—> Current to date and past MAPS: <——

———————————————————————————————————————
Summary:
No major changes.
Catchup update:
Over the course of the past 14 days, Russian forces managed to push Ukrainian troops to west on the North Lugansk (Oskil) front.
In particular, Ukrainian troops lost control over village Nevske, Dibrova, potentially Torske and Zarichne.

Key areas:
- Oskil river area: no changes.
- North Donbass area: no changes
- Central Donbass (Donetsk West): no changes.
- Zaporizhya: no changes.
- Kherson bridgehead: no changes.

———————————————————————————————————————
••Strategic Situation - NATO, China, Taiwan - mostly skipped:
The Deputy Prime Minister of Poland was going to fly to South Korea where he was supposed to have negotiations with Minister of Defense in South Korea, and because Poland is buying tons of military equipment from South Korea - close to a 1,000 tanks about 300-500 multiple rocket launching systems, a lot of self-propelled howitzers equivalents of the Krabs, but Poland doesn’t have enough manufacturing capacity to to make them; they are going to buy a lot of those self-propelled howitzers to complement their manufacturing facility which are lacking - that’s why he was flying there. China blocked him from flying Chinese air, and there was some deadline he could make; they met online, but it tells you that situation is really tense.

Germany and Production - skipped:

Political Situation In The U.S:
The Republican leader of the lower chamber & the future head of lower chamber said we’re not we’re going to cut off or he’s saying we’re not going to support Ukraine; now the head of future head of Republican majority in Senate came out and said that no we’re gonna support Ukraine and we increase supply. Its very clear there is rift within Republican party.

Then US sent portion of the 101st Airborne Division to Romania and it consists of three brigades or four brigades; the second brigade was sent its about 4,700 soldiers to Romania. This tells you that things are getting very tense; there is also reports that Polish Army is accumulating on the border with Belarus. Then the former director of CIA David Petraeus openly said that you asked me join the war on Ukrainian territory against Russia as a part of multinational armed force.

ASEAN - Association of South East Asian Nations - skipped:

Ukraine Energy Infrastructure Situation - skipped:

North Luhansk’:
There are changes here, and they are not really in favor of Ukraine. On October 7 when like the highest point of Ukrainian defensive they were very close to Krimina, they even have a bridgehead blocking the road.

Because there is very little information from this section of the front; I was able to get more - Russian troops gradually over 15 days - two weeks pushed Ukrainian troops away from almost all of the area between the rivers.

Ukraine controls this time like a bunch of bridgeheads centered around the villages; then it still controls Termy. Russian troops completely controlled the Eastern side of the river and it looks like Russian troops attempting attacks in the direction of Lyman.

You can see the situation deteriorated tremendously over that period of time. Its not like the Russian side got brand new shiny perfect units - its the same units that were extremely worn out and all they got is a little bit more of the almost unprepared conscripts. I really have not puzzled about what’s going on here, why this is the way it is.

There is also a lot of Ukrainian resources in this area, not to mention Ukraine has advantage over the Russian side in terms of certain artillery and rocket systems. HIMARS, also self-propelled howitzers and long range, specifically and precise; that’s what Russia doesn’t have. But they have maybe closed the range, but they don’t have precision at all, and the precision is a big is a big deal.

By the way there is a date in terms of how many Krabs which is the Polish self-propelled howitzer with 152mm gun that’s 50 to caliber’s long which is the best - there is also Panzer howitzer 2000, which is actually better than Krab, then there is Caesar from France, then there is Susana 2. There’s a bunch of systems that are in that group, but Ukraine has now 54 Krabs in total. over since the beginning Ukraine received 54 Krabs so which again in plus sink Ukraine has close to 18 iPanzer howitzer 2000 and close to 24 Caesars; its definitely more than 100 units of extremely long range or extremely capable artillery.

This allows you to bridge any Russian defenses, and plus if you add to that mix HIMARS you can literally reach any Russian defense, at any place where you would - that’s why its very puzzling what’s going on because as you can see the result is is negative.

Kherson Bridgehead:
There are no Ukrainian attacks, but there were there are attacks by HIMARS against those ferries, pontoon bridges and the apparently creating quite a bit of painful losses for the Russian side. I want to explain for some reason I’m not sure even why, those HIMARS were off probably somewhere else, and they were not really busy attacking or disrupting Russian logistics for some time. Then past 3-5 days, they’ve been again active. What’s been going on is Russian Command, Russian Administration are encouraging the collaborators or people who see their future with Russia to evacuate to Russia; they even give them 100,000 rubles and shelter certificate - its not clear what that really means shelter certificate.

But people do take that as an opportunity because, if you are in this whole war zone, and you cannot get to Ukrainian side or even if you get to Ukrainian side & its dark and cold there, you could go to Russian site and there is money and there is free apartment.

I don’t know what the quality of those things have no idea but I’m just like on the surface right if you if you don’t know either right for those who don’t don’t see a difference between the posts both sides its like okay money decision I’m not saying that this is like a large scale movement but there are certainly people who do move to Russia using this as opportunity the other thing that’s also signed that Russian site I mean in as I said before Russian side will lose this bridgehead its just a question of time.

More immediate signs that this might be happening is that there are shortages of gasoline and fuel in general in Kherson. I’ll just say they’re insiders right they’re on the ground they’re seeing what we cannot see, and they see that the tide is turning in other direction, so they just want to switch to be in sync with the new side. That’s why by switching to Ukrainian currency, they’re probably expecting Ukrainian troops to liberate this area, if not very soon, but it probably very soon, and they not accepting Russian rubles.

This is an indication that Russian troops are being moved to the eastern side of the Dnipro River. There’s a lot of speculation about potential blow up of this dam in Nova Kakhoka I hope there is that this both sides are rational, because if they’re rational, its not in interest of either side to blow it up; from a rational perspective it creates good Russian position so Ukrainian troops will not be able to get to the Russian side - it allows Russian site to free up a lot of resources and redeploy them. Then for Ukrainian side its also its a huge damage that its its gonna take a long time to repair, and its a huge economic damage, so hopefully rational thinking will prevail, not to mention the cost of human life - otherwise the situation is status quo.

Off topic, but election update:

Signs of a potential Red Wave. Rs won NV ‘urban’ voting 1st day. That means with ‘rural’, Rs up even more.

NV, 1st day.

CUMULATIVE CLARK: 12,158
D – 4,625 (38 percent)
R – 5,283 (43 percent)
O – 2,250 (19 percent)

CUMULATIVE WASHOE: 8,252
D – 3,520 (43 percent)
R – 2,961 (36 percent)
O – 1,771 (21 percent)

CUMULATIVE URBAN NEVADA: 21,600
D – 8,390 (39 percent)
R – 8,468 (40 percent)
O – 4,460 (21 percent)

“Last cycle, 27,000 turned out on the first day of voting in Clark, and the Dems only won by 7 points and had a 2,000-voter lead over the GOP. They had a 12 percent registration lead in Clark at the time, or 155,000 voters. Now it is down to 9.6 percent, or 126,000 voters. Dangerous to extrapolate from a first day, but that’s the context.”

Ukraine Energy Infrastructure Situation - skipped:

I believe both sides are providing propaganda.

I'm guessing that Ukraine is not repairing the damaged electric substations. Hopefully they are replacing them with substations in bunkers or hardened facilities.

They would then mandate "lights out" at sundown to convince Russia that electricity has not been restored.

From WiU:
The rewiring & reconnecting the whole network into one, probably will take quite a bit of time, because it takes quite a big lead time to produce transformers; they not inventory items, in many cases they are custom made.

Transformers are months - order to delivery date
