There's no such thing as a free-ish ride.
Elon Musk and SpaceX will no longer be able to fund Starlink internet in the Ukraine, citing a deteriorating relationship with Kyiv.
The company claims it cannot push any more resources to assist the Ukrainian war effort at a rate approaching pro bono status, and has looked to the Pentagon to pick up the tab.
“We are not in a position to further donate terminals to Ukraine, or fund the existing terminals for an indefinite period of time,” SpaceX’s director of government sales wrote in a communique to news media.
On Friday, Musk tweeted that his “operation has cost SpaceX $80 million and will exceed $100 million by the end of the year.”
The Pentagon was notified the month prior to the announcement, citing it would cost nearly $400 million within a 12-month span.
An outside consultant notified the Pentagon that “SpaceX faces terribly difficult decisions here. I do not think they have the financial ability to provide any additional terminals or service as requested by General Zaluzhniy.”
SpaceX has been instrumental in turning the less-developed Ukrainian military’s luck around, helping turn them from an army on its last legs to one capable of pushing the Russians out of their country.
When Musk began looking into ways to push the peace process forward, CNN reported that Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany, Andrij Melnyk, responded with harsh words.
““F*** off is my very diplomatic reply to you @elonmusk,” he replied.
Deteriorating relations between Musk and Kyiv -the latter having become accustomed to getting what they want at the expense of Western democracies and republics- is said to have played a major role in the tech company’s response.
From what I understand, Musk took it upon himself to activate StarLink in Ukraine at the request of Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. As far as I know the Pentagon/Defense Department had no active role in it being activated. If he wants to shut it down, that's fine, but the U.S. taxpayers shouldn't foot the bill for it to continue. Let Ukraine use some of those billions they've gotten from Congress, and haven't had to account for.
“Forget angering Ukraine. Musk angers this U.S. citizen every time he asks U.S. taxpayers to pay for his wealth.”
Musk has used the existing political structure and given us Tesla, The Boring Company, PayPal (preWokeness), SpaceX, Starlink and stands to become the majority shareholder of twatter.
Not bad for a kid from South Africa.
Now what has Vlad Zelensky or any other Ukrainian given us except for an entitled attitude that WE need to fund his governments budgets in perpetuity.
Musk didn’t “GIVE AWAY” any Starlinks !
Article from April... :
Elon Musk ‘donated’ Starlink terminals to Ukraine. U.S. taxpayers paid SpaceX millions for it.

Starlink has an orbit over that part of Europe nothing to be moved
He wants the US to pay for the continued service. Not the hardware. All of this has continued far longer than expected.
. In fact, Zelenskyy reprimanded those insulting Elon, so there is no factual basis for 99% of the posts in this thread.
Elon Musk (aka Tony Stark) was added to the Ukrainian Black/Hit/Kill List. Now Tucker Carlson, etc. won’t be the only ones....

More about the ‘List’:
“I’m on a ‘hit list’ Kiev allows to silence dissent & journalism. That’s all you need to know about Ukrainian ‘democracy’”

Did he?
Really?

I too post my kill lists on retarded Russian social media. I hear Scott Ritter keeps his love list on their too, and your name is right on it next to photos of you in your play pen.
Good to know you approve of Ukraine’s Black/Hit/Kill List....
Good to know you approve of Scott Ritter having you on his pedo list.
Enlighten me, was WMDs ever discovered in Iraq, you know the same WMDs Ritter long asserted did not exist? How many Americans were maimed, etc. in Iraq? How many civilians were killed all while the US was asserting they were collateral damage?
Get back with me.
Note: when pointed out that Scott Ritter has made no correct predictions about Ukraine, you fail to post any.
That said, Ritter didn’t predict anything about Iraq that wasn’t being repeated by the Democrats every single day.
And Iraq did have the precursor chemicals ready for producing WMDs when necessary, and there was evidence of large scale transfers made to Syria just prior to the invasion. These conveys were not struck because they were operated by the Russians.
Nice dodge, if we were playing dodge ball......
A dodge is repeatedly claiming Ritter is a Ukraine war expert, being repeatedly told that he’s made constant false predictions s about Ukraine, and then citing Iraq over and over again to the point that you almost had me rehashing Iraq war apologetics.
You are still dodging....
How?? Explain it! I do wish to understand the reasoning of a retard.
Search my post history and see if I ever suggested, stated, etc, that Ritter was a war expert.
Address post 92 and stop dodging.
Otherwise, move along.
“Address post 92”
But I did???? I directly responded to your dodge about Iraq lol.
And if you aren’t attempting to defend Ritter’s credentials as an expert on Ukraine, what is even the point of defending him at all?
No you did not.
There were specific questions posed that you are still dodging.
Move along.
