I have a hard time believing this judgement will stand....if someone can sue you for saying something that hurts their feelings, that will be the end of free speech, especially political speech. I don’t see how SCOTUS would rule otherwise.
It won't. In Conn.,where the verdict was given, there is a limit on what can be awarded For defamation. It is either 3 or 30 million, can't remember which.
