That high-fructose junk will ruin it;True that, but I only like a marg every now and then -- maybe once every 6 weeks at a Mexican restaurant, so I'll risk it.
To: PJ-Comix
I watched your video and will definitely try it!
However, when I want a frozen marg, I don't want to wait overnight. So instead of the water, I would put ice cubes in the blender and have it straight away.
Nice shirts, too.

Nice shirts, too. I recently found out that they are symbols of hate.

I don’t have a fan base or any money to worry about like you do. But lying about isn’t a good look.

Maybe I have gotten spiled, as I have my own Key Lime tree that produces about 500 golf ball (or smaller) sized limes a season. I use these to make not just Key lime pie, but also Margarita mix.
Margarita mix is easy: Lime juice and simple syrup (one cup sugar to one cup water, boiled for three minutes). Adjust the lime added to suit your taste (I like my margaritas tart, not overly sweet).\, IMHO.
Sounds like a great drink though! I am not clear on why the water is added. The melted ice, usually adds enough dilution of the liquor.

I was in Curacao back in 2019 and had more Mrgaritas with Curacao Blue than I can remember at this point.
It's my go-to for Margaritas. Great stuff.

Could someone inform Mr. Accusatory that if he goes to MY PREFERENCES in the FR account that you can set it so that when you click a link, including those that go to the outside, that the FR tab will REMAIN? It's at the bottom of the MY PREFERENCES page under WINDOWS.

Lime juice and simple syrup (one cup sugar to one cup water, boiled for three minutes). How much lime juice?

For one cup of syrup use 1/4 cup of key lime juice, 1/3 cup if standard store bought limes. Mix and taste, then adjust by adding a tablespoon at a time of lime juice , to suite your preferences.
Key limes by are very tart, as you already know, I’m sure.

I recall being at Husong’s in Ensenada where they claim the first Margarita was made. Theirs was nothing special, although the bar itself had a special vintage charm.
Apropos of the best cocktails ever, if you are in San Juan, PR, go across to Bayamon and visit the Bacardi factory. There’s an outdoor bar under a canopy there where they serve all manner of cocktails made with Bacardi rum. They are magically good, well beyond anything I’ve ever had elsewhere.

Romulan Ale
375 ml (1-1/2 cup) Bacardi 151 rum
375 ml Everclear alcohol
375 ml Blue Curacao liqueur
Combine ingredients in a (just over) one-liter bottle. Chill in freezer for two hours. Serve in shot glasses.

Add a little higher ratio of lime juice.
The beauty of doing your own is it is easy to adjust the taste to suit personal preferences. For example my wife likes her margarita a little less tart so I add a tablespoon of simple syrup to hers.

Blue Curacao looks beautiful served in a stemmed glass and people always open conversation by asking about it when I order one, on holiday. But its tastes a bit medicinal orange.

Try actual lime juice, not “margarita mix”. Sheesh. As a 20 year bartender I can guarantee that these mixes are garbage full of chemicals and sugar.

You are incorrect. It works the way PJ describes it for me on both links! You need to check your settings on your device.

That recipe needs a “no smoking” warning with it!
