You’re far more likely to catch something at home than on a cruise ship.

That's literally the most absurd thing I have ever read.

Do some research. The most absurd statement is calling cruise ships ‘floating petri dishes’.

Then you've clearly never been on a cruise, and you're talking out of your... lack of experience.

At home and at work and at school, surfaces are not wiped down every few hours, there aren't antibacterial pumps every 30 ft, and there are TONS of common places that everyone touches (doors, phones, microwave buttons, remotes, etc etc etc). On a cruise, virtually everything you might touch was sanitized or steamed or replaced very recently. Entire battalions of people do nothing else but wipe, spray, replace, and clean, 24-7.

I'm not going to say "far more likely", but if I had to bet, I'd say that the surfaces in your home and school and workplace have as much, if not more, bacteria and viral agents, and more places that aren't cleaned regularly, as compared to a cruise ship and stateroom.
