WRONG!!!
Wooden pallets are very valuable AND worth something even if damaged. I once had a side gig in the 90’s picking up used pallets at UPS, Fed Ex and small receivers. I would make three trips a month to a refurbisher who would pay me, depending on condition of the pallets. I could fit 100+ pallets on my truck and I averaged clearing $700/month on regular old pallets.
The Gold Mine was CHEP pallets. I had to take them to a facility in Roanoke, VA owned by CHEP. They were paying me $50/pallet! CHEP was/is the top of the line in pallets.
