This is even worse than when Arnold Rothstein fixed the 1919 Baseball World Series!

Why not pass them under a metal detector when they are turned in? Granted, that wouldn’t catch walleye fillets.

That’s going to be messy. As a team they have claimed quite a few tournament prises including Championship in 2021.

“When tournament director Jason Fischer sliced open the gullet on one of the fish that Jacob Runyan and Chase Cominsky had turned in, lead weights were exposed. Next fish – same thing. Next fish – lead weights and pieces of walleye fillets”

Which is why bass tournaments require the fish to be alive at weigh in

Aren’t wild fish pretty symmetrical? Could a length/ girth/ weight ratio identify fishty fish?

With prize money involved, this becomes criminal fraud. A local prosecutor should take note and make these guys lives real miserable and expensive for the next few months.

It will be very difficult, but they need to go back to other Tournaments these two “won”, and use the photos of the winning fish, the lengths of the fish, and scientifically demonstrate the weight is not possible, given the biology, that was recorded for the “win”. Seems that’s a way to PROVE they cheated and committed fraud in previous events, and confiscate their winnings. Or, in the REAL world today, get some ambulance chasers to go after the deep pocket sponsors of these two, and make the Case of Fraud and cheating in ALL the Tournaments where they pocketed 100’s of thousands of dollars in prize money, and sponsor “gifts”/”awards”. Ruining their reputations is nowhere near enough punishment for these two assclowns. (Maybe one of them will cut a deal, and turn against the other, to ease his sentencing?)

Hard to believe they got away with this scam for so long...how hard is it to gut a fish. Especially, when the fish they present would be of similar size and girth, but weigh 30 to 50% more.

They were stuffed with not only weights but with additional fish filets.

Cruelty to animals out to be added to fraud and cheating charges.
