"And yet... they still elect Democrats, so they must love what Democrats created for them!"

The democrats keep them like cattle. They feed them, house them, give them medical attention, and in some cities, provide free needles and a safe place to shoot-up..

As long as they keep voting for the rats, all the freebies, and the narcotics will continue to flow...

Even an animal would leave!

If you leave the fence open, cattle will leave. Hard to believe animals are even smarter than Democrat voters living in cities.

That may be due to the general decline in the number of children.

I just looked at the demographics out of curiosity. Whites are 11% of enrollment, but surprised its even that high. Hispanics are now 47% and Blacks are 36%.

because they AREN’T there to Teach, they’re there to INDOCTRINATE !!

I am not even sure they are there to do that. If you can’t teach someone the basics, its hard to even indoctrinate them.

I think most of the “teachers” are there to collect a salary, benefits, and (eventually) pension. They are more akin to prison guards who go through the motions of teaching...occasionally. Like prison guards, they have to be careful around the inmates, lest they get stabbed. On one hand, it sucks to be them. On the other hand, it IS a union job with a steady paycheck and its indoor work.

I know one young Millenial who tried his hand at teaching math to inner city kids. He did get stabbed and now codes for a living.

I’ve been posting for years that **all** academically successful children are homeschooled.

It doesn’t matter whether they are institutionalized for their schooling or not. Both groups ( homeschooled or institutionalized) are doing the **same** things in the **home**!

The Chicago Teachers Union is run by a White Far Left Billionaire - Jesse Sharkey -Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines - Even though Sharkey is not the “official” Union President he controls the leadership.

The CTU runs the city of Chicago - even Mayor Lighthead gets her marching orders from the Union and she obeys without question.

$29,000 per student! That is a staggering number. Tuition at a Catholic school is around $10,000.

What do you mean being illiterate is a failure of the Chicago Public Schools? If Chicago children learned to read, they could leave that hellhole and get a job in a decent part of the country. If not for illiteracy, drug-dependency, criminal records and so forth, those people might become self-sufficient, own homes, and build up savings, and even become ultra MAGA.

This is what happens when americans are replaced with communists from third world countries. There is a reason third world countries are still third world.

Failure? The Chicago Public School board is doing exactly what they intend to do.

Public schools in Chicago are an overlap of two industries operating under the cover of the Education Industry; the Grift Off Of Taxpayers and the Grievance Industry.

They're grabbing taxpayer money, especially from other states via Fedzilla, into the Democrat crime syndicate.

They're keeping the urban plantation residents ignorant and wholly dependent on their Democrat masters.

Just because it has buildings with classrooms, people designated as teachers and students, it doesn't mean it's about education.

They knew exactly what they were doing when they made "education" compulsory. The lifelong crime against the students and all taxpayers will continue until compulsory education ends.

$29K per student??

There are a number of good colleges and tech schools that can educate two or even three students for that amount AND produce results!

If a kid can’t read, that’s the parents’ fault.

I fully agree. But in many of these cases, the parents can't read either.

Public schools cannot fix this.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
