Gun registry at Cabela's

I don't kow if this is now grue for all Cabela's stores but it seems ridiculous to me that a company sells a ton of fire arms is banning conceal carry while most other businesses don't.

Yeah, nobody has ever shrieked “HE’S GOT A GUN!” at me, I keep it concealed. And in my state, all they can do to you if you’re armed is tell you to leave. If you don’t leave, it’s a Misdemeanor Trespassing charge. I’d have walked out because I’m not spending money at a gun store that doesn’t respect my 2nd Amendment rights, and doesn’t trust me to be armed in their own store. It’s an insult to the consumer.

We were at Cabelas yesterday. Same sign they’ve always had. It said concealed carry was excluded from the requirement as long as it stayed concealed.

Among the other reasons, I really don’t like so much loaded gun handling within the store, and a wide variety of guns being handled by clerks.

When an action is repeated so often, the chance of accidental discharge goes up.

Cabela's policy is NOT about CCW!

It's about brining in firearms for return, exchange, or repair.

Announcing to the clerk that you're CCW is dumb.

That was my question ... if concealed carry, how would they know?

If confronted (somehow, since carrying concealed) with ‘registering’, I would have taken my gun AND myself out to the car & not gone back in.

It appears Cabela's management fears the Left far more than they honor Liberty.

Although, in many circumstances, this abject fear of the Left is understandable -- if not justifiable -- considering that the "leaders" of the "opposition party" have long since been separated from their cajones, preferring the more convenient and far less stressful strategy to "just get along with (i.e., pander to) the Left" rather than meet them with overwhelming force, courage and commitment to principles.

Friend of mine from PA was going on and on how all these white supremacists have guns (she is a democrat) and I said, ‘everyone out here (AZ) has guns. They’re everywhere.

Armed felons will ignore the sign, do whatever they want.
