Yes, the fact that people are talking about nuclear strikes as if they are just like any others only bigger, reveals how the regime and its supporting media have become totally untethered from reality. With total control and management of the Narrative, they have a nation, maybe a world, dumbstruck and oblivious.
BTW, Those who say Putin is bluffing were also saying that last January. Including Zelinskyy.
I’ve made that same observation. I don’t think Kennedy was bluffing with Cuba nor were Reagan and Thatcher in Germany, 1982. What we are seeing is the mirror image of how Reagan and Thatcher proceeded in the early 80s. Faced with hopeless conventional odds in a Warsaw Pact armored thrust through the Fulda Gap, Reagan put intermediate range missiles capable of striking Moscow in Germany. These served as a credible trip wire. It worked. Russia has already announced a similar tactic for the soon to be heavily fortified Finnish Russian border. Russia has effectively dropped an iron curtain of nukes around those areas of Donbas being consumed this week. I used to think it might take an actual NATO force strike on Russia to set it off. From what Moscow is saying, a continuation of the last three months might strike the match.
Putin started threatening nuclear war on the first day of his invasion, on the third day he put his nuclear forces on alert.
Putin has been hammering the nuclear threat ever since, constantly, and having his agents and state media constantly threatening nuclear weapons and war.
Putin has been trying to normalize nuclear weapons for use in invading a neighboring country, normalizing them to stop anyone from aiding the country under invasion. Putin is trying to sell nuclear weapons as usable for normal warfare.
The United States of America, the Western world, and the rest of the world cannot allow this to happen and cannot surrender its foreign policy in advance to every nation with nukes.
