In my decades in Houston I have seen school playgrounds turn from mostly white and black to almost all brown. Legions of no or minimally tax paying brown parents flooding school districts and section 8 housing invading the suburbs in concentrations of bodies that dwarf the original resident numbers. One such set of section 8 apartments were built across from one of my offices. Overnight it took a small fleet of buses to transport the legions of new elementary age children from there to the schools in an overnight invasion and crisis of the schools to deal with them.

We have let our freedoms and kindness destroy us from within. The deed is done now. There is no turning back.

Section 8 is how we turned urban black communities into third world nightmares. It's not a race thing: the Latins will devolve into the same if we pay their rent.
