For the old-timers who were around the JFK assassination was quite a shock.
You need to remember that he was treated like a deity by the mass media of the time.

I realize alot of that, hence mentioning the live shooting aspect. And I’m sure he was beloved even by media in the time. I think personally he suffered Martyr Syndrome, and has been lionized even as amongst the greatest presidents mostly due to this terrible incident.
Legit flashbulb? For the time, I’m sure it was, and maybe even now it would be. Just not as truly momentous as 9/11.
