Wonder if their rusty old things would even work?
“Wonder if their rusty old things would even work?”

Would you hold an old hand grenade, pull the pin, release the safety lever but continue to hold onto the body of the grenade without throwing it?
The Russians destroyed most of them. About all that they might have remaining of the old tube artillery stuff that would work in vehicles or towed units with some mobility would be some 152 mm warheads. They would lack range with those, and the yields would have decreased in storage—something less than one kiloton.
If they fired even one of those, the consequences would be more than they could stand. They’ve already shown their dirty side to the world in too many ways. They’re terrible at public affairs. No one wants to be invaded or ruled by them.
If they used one of the newer small missiles with nuclear warheads, they’d be shut down real quick. If NATO bowed down to that kind of threat, there would be no end to the expanding suffering. There’s a new evil axis, and it’s trying to break out and conquer the world.
