I have found that hanging a realistic Halloween-shop crow deters most birds.
Squirrels...death becomes them. Rodent of peace.
What I fed nuts, were actual Chips and Dales.
I have no doubt that would probably work. However, I had to resort to something that I could stick in the ground as there’s no way I could get anything that would have to be hung from roof line or anything high. Right now I can’t even get the pinwheels assembled properly so I’m not a happy camper...
