The FBI Agent Accused of Being Biased In Investigations of Hunter Biden and Trump Just Got the Boot

It looks like the increased Congressional pressure on the bias at the FBI may be bearing fruit.

According to the Washington Times, a senior FBI official who whistleblowers had pointed to in terms of the biased handling of the case in regard to Hunter Biden’s laptop is reportedly out of a job.

The information came from two former FBI officials familiar with the situation.

Mr. Thibault was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator on Friday. He was escorted by two or three “headquarters-looking types,” according to eyewitness accounts provided to one of the former officials.

It’s not clear if he resigned on his own or was forced out. He had been on leave after the allegations came out, and he had been the Assistant Special Agent in charge of the public corruption unit at the Washington Field Office.

As we previously reported, Thibault had been at the center of a firestorm of whistleblower complaints alleging political bias, that Thibault allegedly declined to open or did open investigations based on political partisanship. According to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), citing the whistleblowers, investigations were opened including against President Donald Trump based upon flimsy liberal media reports while the matters with strong evidence regarding Hunter Biden were shut down.

"This goes beyond Hunter Biden, this goes to more the broader issue of whether or not there are people in the Justice Department that are closing down cases that should be continued because of political influence," Sen. Chuck Grassley tells Newsmax's @Greta Van Susteren. pic.twitter.com/N5qlv7FCpO

While Thibault was reassigned from the WFO prior to the obtaining of a warrant to raid Trump’s home, members of the office were allegedly involved in the raid.

Thibault was also allegedly involved in pushing out unvaccinated agents from the FBI’s election squad whom he believed to be Trump supporters.

If the FBI thinks that pushing Thibault out and laying everything on him is going to quiet the questions, Grassley made it plain that wasn’t going to work.

“Mr. Thibault’s blatant partisanship undermined the work and reputation of the FBI. This type of bias in high-profile investigations casts a shadow over all of the bureau’s work that he was involved in, which ranged from opening an investigation into Trump based on liberal news articles to shutting down investigative activity into Hunter Biden that was based on verified information,” Mr. Grassley said in a statement to The Times.

“Political bias should have no place at the FBI, and the effort to revive the FBI’s credibility can’t stop with his exit. We need accountability, which is why Congress must continue investigating and the inspector general must fully investigate as I’ve requested,” he said.

While this guy may have gotten the boot, they need to run to ground everything he was involved in and stop probes if they were wrongly opened and re-open things he shut down. But it’s also not just him. They just can’t try to cover things up by by blaming this guy when according to the whistleblowers the problems are endemic. There needs to be a true housecleaning, starting with what this guy did in regard to Trump and Hunter Biden.

Well! Now that the one single biased FBI agent has been given the boot, I’m sure the gaslight media will start telling us that all future FBI activities will be completely on the up-and-up, and you can trust them.

Who is FBI Agent Timothy Thibault?

[EXCERPT]

As we know, there have been numerous reports in recent months leading up to the Mar-A-Lago raid of FBI whistleblowers reaching out to Congressional offices complaining of a political environment that allegedly sought to downplay negative news about the president’s son Hunter Biden and his now infamous laptop. GOP Senator from Iowa Chuck Grassley, the ranking Republican member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, wrote a letter July 25 to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland detailing the allegations he said were voluminous and consistent enough to be credible.

In October 2020, one month before the election, “an avenue of derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed” by a senior FBI agent at the bureau’s Washington Field office. An earlier letter from Grassley identified the agent as Timothy Thibault.

“[T]he allegations provided to my office appear to indicate that there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation,” Grassley claimed.

He said whistleblowers from federal law enforcement came forward to his office after a May 31 letter he had written noted a “pattern of active public partisanship in his then public social media content,” in reference to Thibault.

In that May 31 letter, Grassley also accused Thibault of likely violations of “[f]ederal laws, regulations and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) guidelines.”

“Whistleblowers have reported to me, that although the FBI and Justice Department maintain policies dictating specific standards requiring substantial factual predication to initiate an investigation, Thibault and other Justice Department and FBI employees failed to comply with these requirements.”

FBI whistleblowers seem to have fingered Thibault as the partisan hack protecting Hunter. The FBI, we now know, were recently identified by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg as the reason Facebook downplayed the laptop story pre-election because the social media company had the impression the laptop story was considered misinformation. But It turns out Thibault has also been involved in some other interesting work on behalf of the agency. Here’s a clip from the FBI Portland twitter account in which Thibault, rather hilariously in hindsight, talks about what the FBI had been doing to combat election fraud.

As news breaks the DOJ is admitting some documents seized at Trump’s Florida home could be covered by attorney-client privilege, the FBI whistleblowers seem to have struck a very large blow against an agency that has been behaving in ways seemingly outside their enforcement purview. Republican Rep. Jim Jordon of Ohio, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, has also been fielding FBI whistleblower allegations and has indicated his intention, should the GOP win the House in November, to investigate both the agency itself and the Justice Department in general.

He needs a personal safety detail and witness protection. He was acting on orders perhaps unwritten.

Probably got a big fat pension and will be rehired as a consultant. Nothing bad ever sticks to federal Gestapo. Braga and horouchi are still running around. Strzok and Page aren’t in jail. Etc.

I offered them the Hunter Biden hard drive copy, but they already had the laptop! Is that why they did not take it when offered?

Most professional agencies in the US have an obsessive and out of proportion cadre of anti Republican Presidents.

For them defeating and humiliating Republican presidents is their religion.

The reciprocal partisan is much more constrained in their behavior than these internal radicals.

You find these in public schools, professoriate, federal workforces, Hollywood and general arts. Keep in mind the USFG is the nations largest employer.

Thibault, with his barely open eyes, looks like the monkey who could see no evil. The Department of Justice, FBI, NSA, CIA, DHS and all the federal law enforcement agencies have become the “brown shirts” of the Progressive Marxist Liberals.

As a Marxist, Thibault never saw the evil of what he was doing. And there were others like him—lots of them in the FBI and the Swamp. The Swamp is deep. They have no conscience. As useful fools, they have no ethics. They are just the team of dummies who are the products of our government schools and our Marxist bastions of higher education. They would be the first to throw people on trains and transport them to the ovens. They would think nothing of it.
