“Are Kroger stores in all 50 states?”
They’re King Soopers in Colorado.
Kroger operates a number of different store brands, in addition to Kroger stores:
—Fred Meyer hypermarkets in the northwest
—Ralph’s supermarkets in southern California & Las Vegas
—Fry’s supermarkets in Arizona
—Smith’s supermarkets in Idaho and Utah
—King Soopers supermarkets in Colorado
—Food4Less discount stores in California and other states
==Harris Teeter supermarkets in North Carolina, Virginia & DC
—Dillon’s supermarkets in Kansas
—Roundy’s supermarkets in Wisconsin & Illinois

It is interesting that while Kroger is an Ohio based company (HQ in Cincinnati), they don’t have operations in the Cleveland market, having ceded the field to operators such as Giant Eagle, Marc’s, Heinens, Meijer, Walmart and Target.
Kroger has its name at the University of Kentucky: “Kroger Field at Commonwealth Stadium”.
Fred Meyer in Washington and Oregon.
