I counted the Teslas in Big Sur last year. 2 out of 100 cars. Not very scientific, but I doubt CA has more than 4 pct EVs.

There are a lot of them in Silicon Valley, but even there I’d guess 4% is about right. There are about 18 houses on our block and two Teslas. The guy across the street from us was a very early adopter. He bought (and still has) the very first little Tesla roadster / sports car. Not many people remember that machine. They made only 2,450 of them. “The Roadster was the first highway legal serial production all-electric car to use lithium-ion battery cells and the first production all-electric car to travel more than 200 miles per charge.” He still takes it out quite often.

Hmmm.

On the 405 this weekend.

Not counting trucks, I’ll be there were more than 4 teslas per 100.

Maybe twice that. Just my estimate, gut evaluation.

Hmmm.
