Sometimes people argue the contrary just for the fun of it. Perhaps that is you. If not maybe you would like to run for President and show us the best method of cleaning out the swamp. Things appear easy from the armchair.

Trump’s greatest service to America may have been the tearing away of illusions and the de-cloaking of the denizens of the swamp. How much more we know, how much more they betray themselves every day trying to flee the light Trump has shone on them. Every day their illegal and unconstitutional, biased actions attacking Trump widen the average American’s awareness of the evil parasite that is our Government. actions by going after him.
Seems like that cannonball into the swamp got Trump clobbered but may be the saving of America and I believe it was the only way to fracture the MSM-Uniparty hold.

Whether DeSantis runs or not this scattering of chum is an attempt to damage Trump and suggest that people are not happy with him as the forerunner.

Well, not everyone is. I don't think that's a secret.

Good grief!

I truly hope and trust you are wrong about how dumb Trump is. Fauci did not blow in with the ChinaVirus. He has been a known swamp monster for decades. He's famous for killing black kids in Trump's home town. For mishandling AIDS same as covid. For stomping on beagles with golf shoes. The man named Science... IS THE SWAMP!

If Trump did not know that, then he's our Kamala.

The Don had a threesome with the swampiest part of gov't and the swampiest part of business.

BigGovt + BigPharma + BigEgo = a fake-tested, not safe, not effective, immunity-for-nobody-but-Pharma, bio-weapon of tyranny.

Yes, he tried a few times to promote the correct way - treatments. But failed. Bigly. I don't want that to be true, it just is.

Yes, he told the insane monkees who hate America to not use his shiny new warp speed oppression weapon against us when he leaves. Who woulda guessed they would?

DeSantis is going out to campaign for Republican House and Senate Candidates. He needs name recognition to do that... Usually I agree with Sundance - not this time.

"Sometimes people argue the contrary just for the fun of it."

True. But that's not me.

I'm a realist... and, ah... I'm also... the wise and mighty Christian Buddha! I see the obvious and I fight the loser. Or something.

Seriously, though, I voted for Trump starting with the general in 16 - after Cruz slaughtered him in the WI primary. I will be voting R again, regardless if it's Ron or Don.

It's just reality that The Don is NOT some sort of principled Free Republican, he is a populist. That is what clawed him into the dark trades of the SwampVax biz - it was a popular idea at the time.

His SwampVax and all the economic, human and Freedom-draining pain it continues to cause is NOT going to be a net gain for Don the Populist in 2024. Unless he changes something.

He should learn that now. Repent his backstroke through the swamp. Turn and fight, dag nabit. Instead, he still brags about his SwampVax.

Being a populist is WHY we should be critical of Trump. Because his decisions are often not based on any small govt principles (TrumpRyanCare, SwampVax, etc). But he can be pulled / polled in the Right direction or the wrong. It's his nature.

I'm the guy WAY on the Freedom-first Right. I'm pulling hard. Others can make a campaign of excuses or grab some rope.

Also, yes, I should run for prez. Write me in a couple times, get the ball rolling.

I too, have had my disagreements with him in the past. He is excellent in pulling together threads and logically creating a hypothesis but sometimes the garment (hypothesis) is not sound.
I posted the article as food for thought, something to watch, not as an endorsement of the conclusions.

There is an appropriate play here. If they take out Trump then DeSantis needs to have a presence. This is also good practice for 2028. Also, this lets liberals know DeSantis is in play and that we have a strong presence. Campaigns start years early.

Why would he run against Trump in ‘24 when he can walk into the WH in ‘28 almost unopposed?

The baggage around here are “move on” Republicans and election fraud deniers.

I know what you’re saying, but Sundance is still a first class thinker... and always worth reading. I just don’t agree with him this time.

Is there a Sundance ping list? If so could you add me? Thanks.

LOL.
Trump is for smaller Government, more power for the states & less for the Fed, taking care of the military and having the strongest best equip military in the world so we don’t have to use it.
Trump is for energy independence, for good stewardship, for America first and for every American having a chance to work towards their dream.
Trump refused to go outside the law & his Presidential powers which made somethings impossible. He is a fierce fighter but a magnanimous winner who wants deals to work for both sides. Trump wants to see everyone win, enabling opportunity zones & job training sponsored by businesses with good paying jobs. He wants America to have a strong and diverse manufacturing base and brought manufacturing home. He made the first good trade deals for AMERICA and brokered middle east peace progress.
I don’t care if he is a “principled Free Republican”, so many who wore that as a cloak screwed us. Trump delivered and when people look for some pimple that they focus on to find fault, ignoring the rest of the picture it gets my Irish up (I’m actually Italian).
You may talk about your dearest May
And sing of Rosa Lee
...but the man who has delivered for us and taken every bit of malice and venomous strikes against him, for our Nation for free and has lost billions in doing so BTW, is the one for me. Accepting no substitutes.

Trump’s book “The art of the deal” is not about how to screw your opponent and win, it is about making agreements where both sides come away happy.

That is why he had a problem in Washington- they ONLY want to crush the other side.

Trump does not own the “jab” in any sense. He gave a nuanced opinion, not for anyone by mandate, people at increased risk might benefit. I think you are being disingenuous or you have an idée fixe.
Trump promoted many solutions which were blocked by the establishment and those with money to be made. This was the only avenue they left open so he encouraged the development. The people who had the responsibility sold him that a large % of Americans would die w/o a vaccine. Do you think that if all of the leading voices told you there was an unparalleled emergency you would say wait lets think while the virus took hold? They lied, Fauci lied, scarf lady lied, WHO lied, Gates lied & people died. Trump did his best to keep Americans safe. Now years later we know it was a weaponized virus and we know it was somewhat worse than the flu. We should have washed our hands & gone about our business.

I like DeSantis but man, that was bad. It was like watching one of those cheap commercials that used to come on the tv late at night. So production quality was poor. The whole thing just felt like a caricature of MAGA voters. Kind of like the people that put the commercial together weren’t MAGA in the slightest.

"We should have washed our hands & gone about our business." And Trump should wash the swamp off, repent verbally and loudly, and then go about America's business in 2024 hopefully much wiser than he was in 2020.
