Russia is pushing two false narratives against Estonia today. They are saying the one who blew up Dugina is a Ukrainian who fled to Estonia. The other one is that Estonians are not letting Ukrainians in via Russia. Never mind how contradictory it is just building up the next invasion mantra.

Do appreciate your daily postings. They become a useful forum to at least discuss this Slavic death fest that is so joyful to the globalists. It appears that the American public is losing interest and the Europeans are resenting the economic costs. BTW. You never addressed my question who is the lucky globalist insider who gets the concession to collect and sell all that high quality steel from the wrecked tanks and armored vehicles.

What you present here as fact is demonstrably and completely false. Ukraine has not regained one inch.

Do you believe the Russian advances in the north just never happened? The VDV attempt to storm Hostomel airport was just a bad dream?

The Russians retreated from Kiev on an axis of advance they took from Belarus.

They have COMPLETELY abandoned that axis of attack, having been stopped by Ukrainian defenses and unable to muster the strength to force their way forward.

Likewise, their advances were forced to bypass Sumy and Chernigov, as the defenses were too stout. Unable to manage the logistical nightmare they created for themselves (think Hitler's 6th Panzer Army trying to get supplies around Bastogne in the Battle of the Bulge) they retreated from those axis of advance at well to reinforce their floundering efforts in Donbass. And again, they retreated from Nikolaev, and no longer threaten that city, which is required if they wanted to advance on Odessa. Now the Russians are trying to hang on in Kherson, but the Ukrainians have shelled the bridges, making resupply and evacuation tenuous, or worse.

The idea that 'Ukraine has not regained one inch' is Baghdad Bob level propaganda. Where do you get your news that shows the Russians still outside of Kiev, trying to take Nikolaev, surrounding Sumy and bypassing Chernigov if they haven't retreated 'one inch'?

Where the Orcs lost was in the modern mobile phase of the war: Feb-May, where the Orcs are ‘winning’ is in the static WWII phase: May-Present.

Folks are expecting the Russians to make a statement on Ukrainian Independence Day (24 Aug) - also the six month mark of the invasion on 24 Feb.

They will likely budget a splurge on precision strike missiles. Maybe HQ’s in Kiev. Maybe Odessa from sea.

There are other, more reliable, news sources other than “Fox and Friends”, CNN, and Sean Hannity.

Various Points On Ukraine And Media

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2022/08/varoius-points-on-ukraine-and-media.html

“I had read the Gazette piece when it first appeared some weeks ago and found it excellent. It realistically depicts the early Russian move towards Kiev as a feint. This is also my view. The feint, with too few troops to actually occupy Kiev, had a political and a military purpose.

Politically it put pressure on the Ukrainian government to quickly agree to Russian conditions for a ceasefire. This nearly worked when negotiations between Russia and Ukraine at the end of March in Turkey had promising results. The talks were then sabotaged by Boris Johnson’s intervention in Kiev where he, speaking for Joe Biden, demanded a continuation of the war which Zelensky then promptly provided.

Militarily the feint had near prefect results. Some 100,000 Ukrainian troops were fixed around Kiev while Russian troops from Crimea moved nearly unopposed to connect the island via a land bridge to the Donbas and Russia and also grabbed a large foothold in Kherson on the west side of the Dnieper.”

While that photo may be legit, I’d be skeptical until confirmed by another source.

Good point - looks too good to be true, like catching an artillery supply convoy with the older sub-munition rockets from HIMARS, and setting off their cargo as secondary explosions (tons more net explosive weight per truck).

There are other, more reliable, news sources other than “Fox and Friends”, CNN, and Sean Hannity.

So you trust 'Moon of Alabama'?

Fine, let's use them and judge reality against their observations and predictions:

The Russian forces around Kiev are making no offensive moves but defend against minor unsuccessful counterattacks from the Ukrainian side (see below). I have seen no hint that Russian forces strives to get into Kiev. It would be too costly to do that and for little strategic gain. But the forces east and west of Kiev are binding a big part of the Ukrainian army and prevent it from sending reserves towards Donbas. Yesterday an air attack or missile strike destroyed the largest Ukrainian fuel depot left near Kiev. The Ukrainian army will soon lose its mobility (if it hasn't yet done so).

Kharkiv is about to get encircled.

How did that Kharkov encirclement go? Oh, the Russians were pushed back in counteroffensives? That's weird. Surely they didn't just get a bunch of paratroopers killed at Hostomel as a diversion, right? How do we square Russia's retreat from Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy, and Kharkov with your assertion the Ukrainians haven't taken back 'one inch'? Reality and your pronouncements don't coincide. Which do we go with?

Dnipro is a strategic target that the Russian forces will like to isolate or take by coming up from the south on both sides of the Dnieper river as well as from the north.

Do you know where to find Dnipro on a map? If it is an old Soviet one look for Dnepropetrovsk. You're find it on the Dnepr bend. The Russians haven't gotten close to it in the months since this pronouncement.

Russian forces destroyed a railway station between Dnipro and Donbas from where resupplies were flowing to the Ukrainian forces fighting there. After large progress yesterday Mariupol is now in a mop-up situation. The Azov forces still there have no chance to survive. Russian passage through Mykolayiv towards Odessa has proven to be difficult. Artillery is now softening up the Ukrainian defense lines. There are unconfirmed reports of large Ukrainian losses in Mykolayiv (300+) due to a missile strike on their barracks.

The Russian ran away from Mykolayiv (if you have an old Soviet era map look for Nikolaev, north of Kherson). It was so difficult they couldn't stay. How do you square this reality with your assertion that the Ukrainians have not taken back 'one inch' of what the Russians invaded?

Do you just tell yourself, as with Kiev, that the Russians didn't really want it?

Just to be able to make an informed analysis, I’d like to know the American equipment losses during The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine. That report never surfaces?
