“It is a non story if they take it sitting down”
And they don’t have to.
TITLE VI OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964 PROHIBITS DISCRIMINATION BASED ON RACE, COLOR OR NATIONAL ORIGIN IN PROGRAMS OR ACTIVITIES WHICH RECEIVE FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Title VI states that:
No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Programs and activities that receive ED funds must operate in a non-discriminatory manner. The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in ED is responsible for enforcing Title VI as it applies to programs and activities funded by ED. OCR’s responsibility to ensure that institutions that receive ED funds comply with Title VI is carried out through compliance enforcement.

Minnesota just lost roughly 6% of their funding that is the average sent to schools. All that needs to happen is a lawsuit filed in federal court.

So, Ms. Howard, you would also agree that if the language specified that black teachers get laid off first that it’s still a non-story?? It would be language about the event of a layoff and you are nowhere near having layoffs this year. You’re down like 250 teachers. There are no layoffs. So I ask you why? Why would that be a story?
All respectable media outlets and the local channels in Minneapolis did pick up this story. Now you might say “XYZ didn’t pick it up” and the reason is because they aren’t respectable.
Well I would think any decent white teacher would have left already, anyway.
Back of the bus with em too. And don’t dare let those cream cheese lips drink out of regular people’s drinking fountains.
3rd worlders used to have a shot by assimilation. All done.
I’m sure they’ll be extremely proud when they start paying out multi million dollar lawsuits for racism
So the president and Vice President can violate the union’s prime directive #1 tenant, Seniority, and lay off a 40 year employee and keep someone just hired last week. And with the members blessing,
I call BS
Or, instead of simply firing them, how about we load them up into cattle cars and transport them to "remote facilities" for "special processing?" I mean: You folks are nowhere near having lay-offs this year, so that would be a non-story, right?
Regards,
Apartments have tenants.
Regards,
And I’m sure that if the headline had read “ Minnesota Public Schools: Teachers Union Officials ‘Extremely Proud’ About Agreement to Layoff Black/muslim/PoC Teachers First’, it would not be considered a “non-story”.
I would be all in for the moslem part.. :P
Next these Marxist/Fascists will ban all Jewish teachers for supporting Israel’s right to exist; all Chinese teachers who support a free Taiwan and Mainland; and all refugee teachers from communism as Dupes of Western Imperialism.
Minneapolis- nuke it from space, twice, just to be sure!
Blatantly unconstitutional discrimination and they will lose in any federal court where anybody cares to sue them for it.
If they are white progressive teachers, they should quit before they have to be laid off, in order to open up positions for the people of color they have marginalized. Then they should give away all their money and donate their organs immediately. And that’s how I feel about white progressive teachers.
The sad thing is, outside of the twin cities, Minnesota is a very red state. They just can’t overcome the twin blue cesspools of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Another instance of institutionalized racism against white people enforced by government.
It is a logical and predictable consequence of accepting the premises of Affirmative Action.
Once you have accepted that it’s ok to discriminate against whites in hiring and promoting, then it all follows.
Since men are underrepresented in the classroom, would they support firing female teachers first?
