Federal agents get more money if they carry firearms - so they all want to be armed. However, why not let the IRS investigate and our existing trained law enforcement officers do the arresting?
Could this dangerous lawn guy have just, say, been sent a letter to turn himself in rather than arrested at gunpoint?
The 87,000 new agents will be targeting small business owners across the country. Even being audited means you're presumed guilty - you have to PROVE every item you deducted over the past seven years was legitimate and maintain every record. If you don't? You owe the tax, penalty, and interest and may be prosecuted.
Being audited shuts down all business activity or expansion for weeks and possibly months as a business goes through the audit not knowing if they'll owe thousands of dollars.
This will further hurt the struggling economy.
How about we eliminate the income tax, eliminate the IRS and just tax goods?

Simple. Get rid of income tax and go to national sales tax. Everyone can feel the weight of government, not just 49%, of which 5% pay 90% of the taxes.
